Meanwhile the collective salaries of international business workers rocketed by 51 percent.
Ouch.  That divide was already big - and it’s getting more divisive.

Splendid Isolation

June 12th, 2008 · Comments Off

It is remarkable that Dr. Brown & Cabinet would allow the cruise ships to open their shops while in port in competition with Bermuda retailers … without ever making any effort at all to talk about it with Bermudian businesses.
You know, the ones that employ Bermudians and pay Bermudian taxes.

At a press conference yesterday, Chamber [...]

The Premier has announced that he will happily go back to the Playboy Mansion doing the people’s business. Happily.
I guess he likes their editorial policy. There are no hidden agendas. They lay it all bare. It’s all there right up front. There’s none of those boobs like back at home.
Hey, do [...]

Bermuda should just get over it and pass whistleblower legislation. You see, the political forces have offended and abused the civil service so much in recent years that the public sector bounces between CYA secrecy and leaking like rusty bucket.
I assume that’s how these titillating stories end up in the press … like the [...]
