Once you get behind the pop and sizzle, and look at it as investment … it is highly unlikely that this gamble will pay off its costs in terms of tourism revenue.
I’ll be happy to be proved wrong. And I hope the sun shines its little heart out tomorrow for the TV cameras.
Because news coverage like this – describing the weather as “the worst he’s ever played in” – is seriously off message!
