In 1940, a great Englishman said: “Never… was so much owed by so many to so few.”
In 2010, a great Bermudian might say: “Never… was so much owed by so many because of so few.”
The full extent of the intellectual argument in support of this year’s budget is: “We need more money, umm, so we can spend it.” and “If you complain you are anti-PLP and a muppet, so there!” Contrast that with the worried analysis that is coming from the community.
Government is supposed to work for us. We find ourselves in the unhappy situation where we have to work harder to support our flabby Government.
