Vexed Bermoothes

We are all used to FinMin Paula Cox’s long and sesquipedalian monologues.  I like the Bernews summary much better:

2.01 pm: Paula Cox [PLP] says she remembers her father saying he got involved in politics to be part of change for little black children coming along, and that we must return to that kind of caring, and that unless you  have your “head in your butt” you know we have problems.

There’s a lot packed in that statement.  Is she implying that her fellow politicians are only in it for the money?  Or giving the location of Cabinet’s thinking?
