It is widely acknowledged that Bermuda’s faith-based tourism programme has been a costly, undeniable, and unmitigated failure.
It does not help that Government cannot get its story straight regarding how much has been spent, how many tourists came, or even how many events were sponsored.
It leaves many citizens wondering if anyone has proper management control, or if people are outright fudging to cover up.
Plus, the current list of events does not appear to include a number of US church events sponsored by Bermuda … leading to the question of whether the programme was about attracting tourists to Bermuda … or supporting someone’s personal beliefs and enthusiasms.
