At least one of the Uighurs is under 30. Will he be conscripted into the Bermuda Regiment like other citizens of that age?
Bonus: it sounds like he may already have some weapons training.
Also:
At least one of Bermuda’s uighurs is married with kids. Is Bermuda also willing to extend citizenship to his family?
If the uighurs are found acceptable for Bermudian citizenship, yes we should, although the Chinese Government is unlikely to be particularly cooperative.
And finally:
US Consul General Slayton’s editorial today never acknowledges the obvious: why, if everything he says is true about the innocent Uighars and our shared values, will America not take the people they wrongfully imprisoned for almost a decade? And as a friend of Bermuda, did he collaborate on a deal that he knew was outside the boundaries of Bermuda’s constitutional arrangements?
