“You can’t solve a problem on the same level that it was created. You have to rise above it to the next level.”
– Alfred Einstein
A month to go to the election. The PLP is steadfastly trying to divert attention away from their track record with lots of finger pointing, smears, and innuendo. Rather than Standing Strong, it shows the fundamental weakness of their position and their lack of plans to cope with Bermuda’s weakened state. I mean seriously, it’s not a good sign when you have to manufacture Facebook profiles to speak out in your favour!
It’s an interesting strategy: to fill up the news with so much emotional ramble, paranoia, and obfuscation that there’s no room left for dispassionate analysis of Bermuda’s situation or the parties’ proposed solutions.
Not much to blog about here, I’m just watching the BS fly. That’s the problem with Bermuda politics: it’s all about crusades and affiliation, rather than the effective running of Government business. That’s why Bermuda is in such a mess: we fight about everything except for the facts.
I will direct attention to my earlier posts on campaign finance reform. This remains an area where Bermuda badly needs rules and transparency.
