Does Glenn Jones have a PR budget he needs to use up by the end of the month? I ask because Government has been sending out press releases on the international wire services like a teenager on Facebook.
They tend to be full of such wisdom as:
“The commitment of my Government in these challenging times is to ensure that Bermuda’s voice is heard wherever and whenever it needs to be.”
“You cannot make an impression on the world stage if you are confined to saying your lines on the stage of Ruth Seaton James.”
Well thank you for that.
I think the local message is clear that the Doctor’s voice needs to be heard a little more frequently in Bermuda, and working with the community instead of trying to bully it into following his vision.
Maybe the reason for the PR blitz is to try and dilute the other bad news out there. Take a look at Google headlines for Bermuda:
- “Crook image and the media, Premier speaks out”
- “Son Of Bermuda Premier To Stand Trial For Alleged Sex Assaults”
- “Fitch says outlook for Bermuda remains negative”
- “Argentina thump Bermuda 25-0 in field hockey”
